Proud Owner Of...

Las Pullip son unas muñecas para coleccionistas creadas por la compañía Cheonsang Cheonha (Que se encuentra en Corea del sur) en 2003. Se comercializaron por vez primera con Jun Planning, una compañía japonesa; para después pasar el relevo a Groove en 2009, la compañía que hoy día se encarga de su distribución. A lo largo de todos estos años las Pullip han ido evolucionando, tanto en el molde para la cara, el maquillaje, y lo más importante, el cuerpo, llegando hasta el modelo que hoy predomina, el "Cuerpo 4" que podéis ver en la siguiente foto:

Como se aprecia aquí, la altura del cuerpo correspondería aproximadamente a la altura de una Barbie, pero con una cabeza un tanto desproporcionada que aumenta la talla.

La palabra "Pullip" significa "Una brizna de hierba" en coreano. En realidad se trata de una colección de chicas de unos 17 años, cada una de ellas con un estilo muy personal, y con su biografía correspondiente (Que podéis encontrar en esta página [Link]).

Lo más característico de estas muñecas es el mecanismo de lo ojos, que consiste en una palanca en la parte posterior que permite moverlos y una serie de botones que los cierra, por lo que ofrecen muchas posibilidades a la hora de hacer fotos. Otro aspecto es que son completamente customizables, se puede cambiar el pelo y los ojos y modificar el maquillaje.

Hoy día podemos encontrar más de 100 modelos de Pullip en el mercado, aunque algunos ya se han agotado con el paso de los años. Tanto Groove como Jun Planning han ofrecido modelos limitados a una serie de unidades con su correspondiente certificado; colaboraciones con ciertas marcas, como es el caso de Angelic Pretty, Innocent World, H. Naoto; o personajes basados en animes, como Kuroshitsuji, Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica, Evangelion, Gosick, Neo Angelique...

Aparte de las Pullip, se han dado otros tantos modelos por parte de Jun Planning y Groove que pertenecen a esta familia de plástico:

- Namu: Actual ex-novio de la Pullip, fue el primer modelo masculino lanzado por Jun Planning.

- Taeyang: Actual novio de la Pullip y sustituto del Namu, mucho más guapo y proporcionado.

- Dal: Hermana del Taeyang y amiga de la Pullip, de aspecto mucho más infantil y cuerpo más pequeño.

- Byul: La mejor amiga de la Dal, e igualmente, de apariencia más infantil.

- Isul: (Eseul en la imagen) Uno de los últimos lanzamientos, es el hermano pequeño de la Pullip y además el novio de la Byul.

Pullip are collecting dolls created by the company Cheonsang Cheonha  (located in South Korea) in 2003. They were first sold by Jun Planning, a japanese company; then to be passed to Groove in 2009, the company that nowadays is in charge of the distribution.

Through all these years, Pullip have been evolving, both in molds for the faces, the make up and, the most important thing, the body, getting to the actual body, the "Body 4" that you can see in the next photo:

As you can apreciate here, the high of the body could agree around the high of a Barbie, but with a quite disproportionate head that grows the set.

The word "Pullip" means "a blade of grass" in korean. Actually it's a collection of 17 years old girls, each one of them with a huge individual style, and with their own biography (That you can find on this page [Link]).

The most peculiar thing of these dolls is the mechanism of the eyes, that consists of a handle in the back side of the head that allows to move them, and a series of buttons that close them, and that's why it offers much more possibilities when taking pictures. Another aspect is that they are completely customizable, they can be changed in hair and eyes and modified in make up.

Today we can find more than a hundred models of Pullip in shops, although some of them have been ran out of stock as the time passed by. Both Groove and Jun Planning have offered limited series  of these dolls with their own certificates of authenticity; collaborations with some clothing brands, as Angelic Pretty, Innocent World or H. Naoto; or anime based characters, such as Kuroshitsuji, Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica, Evangelion, Rozen Maiden, Neo Angelique...

Apart from the Pullip, other models, concerning this plastic family, have been created by Jun Planning and Groove:

- Namu: Actual ex-boyfriend of Pullip, it was the first male model launches by Jun Planning.

- Taeyang: Actual boyfriend of Pullip and substitute of Namu, more handsome and proportionate.

- Dal: Sister of Taeyang and friend of Pullip, in a much more childish look with a tinier body.

- Byul: The best friend of Dal and, in the same way, in a more childish look.

- Isul: One of the last launchments, he's the younger brother of Pullip and boyfriend of Byul.
