Hoy vamos a estrenar una nueva sección (Con banner y todo) :
En How To Spend Your Freak Time vamos a ofreceros recomendaciones y reseñas de
libros, anime, series, cómics y todo aquello que caiga en nuestras manos. Así
que esperamos que los disfrutéis.
Para estrenar este sección, os vamos a hablar de "Un
Tesoro", una de las últimas obras a manos de la editorial Dibbuks que ha
salido a la luz en España.
Esta obra nos transporta a un mundo victoriano con un cierto
toque steampunk con las letras de Francisco Naranjo como camino y las
ilustraciones de Víctor Rivas como acompañantes de travesía. M, una extraña
mujer que suele vestir de negro y rodearse de gatos, encuentra su tesoro, al
que va a proteger de todas las maldades por parte de una sociedad donde lo que
más importa son las apariencias.
Naranjo nos narra este cuento de aires burtonescos y tintes
oscuros capaz de enternecer a cualquiera. Una lectura ligera y sencilla que nos
arrancará una sonrisa al terminar el relato. Recomendable para todos aquellos a
los que les guste leer y para los que no también.
Junto a la susodicha historia, unas ilustraciones fantásticas,
caricaturas de esta sociedad victoriana. Por no hablar de lo que he dicho
antes, el toque steampunk, como podemos ver en una de mis ilustraciones
favoritas.

Today we're going to release a new section (With its own
banner): In How To Spend Your Freak Time we will offer to you some
recommendations and reviews of books, anime, TV series, cómics and all that stuff
that falls in our hands. So we hope you to enjoy this.
To release this section we will talk about "Un
Tesoro", one of the last works made by the publishing house Dibbuks that
has seen the light in Spain. This work will carry us to a victorian world with
some steampunk touches with the words of Francisco Naranjo as the road and the
pictures by Victor Rivas as companions for this passage. M, a wird woman that
is used to dress in blacks and to be sorrounded by cats, finds her treasure,
the one that she's going to protecto of all kind of evil things that come from
a society where the most important thing is the appearance itself.
Naranjo tells us this story in a way that reminds us to Tim
Burton with dark touches, able to soften anybody. A light and easy reading that will take us a
smile when finishing the tale. Advisable for all those who likes reading and
for those who doesn't too.
With this story, some really great pictures, caricatures of this
victorian society. Not to mention what I said before, the steampun touch, as we
can see in one of my favourite illustrations.
